The Mitutoyo MiSTAR 555 coordinate-measuring machine is a essential tool when you require quick dimensional measurements immediately after the CNC machining operations.

Getting metrology lab CMM quality measurements closer to the point of production and manufacturing is not new, however, the CMM machine designs have changed through special products now available for rough environmental applications. Geometrical 3D inspection measurements made just after the manufacturing process allow to minimize the reaction time in order to make any adjustments on the machining process. CMM's that are used in a manufacturing environment or production workshop for quick measurement checks of machined parts must offer a variety of special features:

The MiSTAR 555 CMM cannot only be applied as stand-alone CMM at the production floor, but can also be connected to any automatic loading system; it may be equipped with touch triggers or tactile scanning probes, including stylus changer racks, and measurement programs can be prepared to be performed over a fixed clamping device or on manual loading procedures.

The MiSTAR 555 CMM ensures high speed and precise measurement even at complex machining sites without the need to create a special environment in the production area. The 'MiSTAR 555' has accuracy guarantee under a wide range of temperatures from 10 ° C to 40 ° C and requires only a power supply of 100 V AC.


The MiSTAR 555 CMM space savings characteristics reduce the installation area to about 70 percent of conventional gantry type MMC.

Designed to be easily automated, 'Mistar 555' uses an open frame design (570 x 500 x 500mm) with an x-axis cantilever type allowing users to easily place a work piece for measuring from three directions: front, rear and right, making it a very versatile and flexible system. You can incorporate the following probes: TP200 and SP25M.
