Rust and dirt accumulate on casting mold from many sources: casting molds may rust during storage (humidity, air dust), because of direct handling (because of skin acids, oils and dirt), all these are directly caused by improper maintenance and cleaning. Microscopic ditches capture corrosive dirt, which is pushed into the mold during the operation causing rust. However, this dirt can't be removed manually with brushes and solvents, and then, covering anti-rusting agents will turn residual resin into phtalic acid, corroding the mold.

The CLIPIKA cleaning process permeates the cleaning solution into the dirt and then the electrolysis gas generated from the cleaning solution because of the electrolytic reaction.

Also, the use of a combined ultrasonic/electrolytic reduces the potential ultrasonic-related mold damage.
