These material grades use tungsten carbide (WC) micro-grains, the hard layer of which is granulated to a substrate micro size of 1µm. This substrate is coated by the PVD method with TiN, TiCN, and/or TiAlN. resulting in materials that are suitable for precision machining and machining of difficult-to-cut materials.
