The CCX series of CVD inserts provide greater productivity and high speed machining thanks to a newly developed unique cermet base and thick coating. It has a wide range of cutting speeds, ranging from general to high speed. Ideal for finishing machining on steel or cast iron.
(Positive inserts added to the line-up)
The new cermet base material for the CCX series of inserts which allows for a thicker cermet CVD coating. The high-strenght micro grain cermet includes a high metal content binder phase which provides higher wear and fracture resistance. This in turn allows for a thicker coating of α-Al2O3 and TiCN for excellent crater wear resistance, thanks to a stronger compressive residual stress that prevents surface cracks.
Excellent High-Speed Finishing
Superior wear resistance with unique cermet grade and thickened CVD coating allows for finishiing machining at higher speeds
Wide range of cutting conditions
Combination of cermet with a CVD coating provides conditions from general to high-speed applications
Superior wear resistance maintains long tool life
CCX shows better wear resistance when compared to competitors even in high-speed cutting conditions for soft steel, general steel and cast iron machining
