Magnescale MeasureViewer and Digital USB Gauge

We all know what to do when you need to do a simple measurement on individual parts: you get out a dial indicator or your calipers. But what if you need to track measurements over time? Over hours, days, or even weeks? That requires a different approach.

Many customers need to detect changes over long periods of time in their parts. For example, battery manufacturers need to monitor expansion and contraction while under different conditions.

The Magnescale USB digital gauges, along with our MeasureViewer data collection software, offers customers a solution to easily monitor and measure these changes over time, setting parameters such as total number of measurements and measurement interval.

The MeasureViewer software works with our USB digital gauges and allows customers to be able to monitor measurements views, set parameters, and easily save data to a CSV file. Up to 16 can be used at once and are available in a wide variety of measurement ranges; from 5mm to 205mm, with environmental protection ratings as high as IP67.

MeasureViewer can show data as a simple numerical display, as a horizontal or vertical bar graph, or as an analog dial display. Each of these options show the minimum and maximum setting limits for each gauge so you can see at a glance if measurements are drifting out of specification.

After collecting measurements, MeasureViewer can save a graph to help illustrate the collected data. This graph will show information such as the maximum, minimum and peak-to-peak measurements shown alongside pre-set tolerance bands to show variance from pre-determined limits.

MeasureViewer also automatically inserts a time stamp with every measurement and can set custom job names for each job. Then with the click of a button, MeasureViewer will save the data to a .csv file.
